The artist works under the pseudonym Oskar Rink. Being grown up in the studio of her father Arno Rink, she early learned the basic elements of painting. As a fashion designer and illustrator she left the footsteps of her also painting father and mentor to develop her own handwriting in painting and installation. Oskar Rink’s graduating from the master‘s degree program at Sotheby‘s Institute of Art / Contemporary Art Department contributed to the further differentiation of her individual conception of art. Her current three-dimensional works are completely subordinated to the haptic aspect of engineering and costructing. Using paper, cardboard and thin wood sticks, she shapes filigree worlds, fractured patterns of paper, which at the same time are drawn surface and gracefully built object.
